Our kids are happy to be outside and even though it is still cold we have been enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. Hunter was so cute giving Lily a ride in the wagon, until he wanted to go up the porch steps with her, but it all turned out well as I caught the tipping wagon in mid air.
Malia my very social child talked on this play Snoopy phone the whole time I made dinner. Is this a bad sign of things to come???? She asks me everyday if she can have a friend over to play and apparently talks to all her friends via Snoopy in the meantime.
Lily is so into shoes and reminds me of myself as a child. She usually goes for the pretty high heel sandals but has trouble keeping her balance. Here she is proudly showing off her dad's shoes with a much more sensible heel height and is happy with the comfort.
Goose hunting season has come to an end. Abby went with Cline and actually thinks she shot a bird with her BB gun!!! She is so funny. Give her a few years and I think she will be shooting the birds Cline misses. With all the good goose hunting this year Cline had about 25 to 35 pounds of meat that he made into jerky. Our house smelled like a smokehouse for several days and made a huge mess of the oven!!! I tried cooking muffins after a batch of jerky and smoke started pouring out of the top burners. The jerky turned out well, Cline was pretty proud of himself and I was happy to see it all going out the door to the friends, neighbors and coworkers(who wanted to BUY more). I am not a real jerky eater(if you
couldn't tell) but was tempted when I did smell how good it turned out.
