Happy Holidays

Our holiday season was wonderful!!! We enjoyed having Cline home from work and he enjoyed some fishing and hunting too. He took Abby fishing and went several times with his brother Troy(pictured left). He had much better luck fishing than hunting, and I will leave it at that......
I somehow got these next two pictures out of order. We took the kids sledding and Lily got so tired she just fell asleep and took a nap right in the snow on the sledding hill. I sat right by her and the warm sun as well as the unusually warm day made me want to nap too.
Here Cline took Lily and Hunter down, and a few seconds later they ran right into me as I was checking the picture I had just taken on the camera.

Abby was always too fast for me to get sledding, but below was a cold day right after one of our first snow falls and Cline pulled Abby around on the sled behind the 4 wheeler while Malia rode. They made some good jumps from the snow drifts and Abby got a foot off of the ground with her sled on one of the jumps.
Abby was so happy to have snow during her school break and I was too. A white Christmas is always special. We do a gingerbread house every year and this year was no different, a few years ago I gave up the tedious job of making a gingerbread house and now buy a kit. The kids eat all the candy they want and we still have enough for the house.
Having young kids really makes Christmas magical for me and the wonder in their eyes makes all the decorating, baking and wrapping worth it. The kids liked opening presents of course, but really enjoyed all the family activities and time being together. Abby will return to school and Cline is already back at work, the new year has begun and soon all the decorations will be put away. My heart is full of happiness at all of my blessing and I look forward to what this new year will bring and how our family will grow.
